Now, AI has made its way to ClickUp! And to say we’re excited is the understatement of the year.
As part of the ClickUp 3.0 rollout, DaSilva Life has had the unique opportunity to see and experience tons of new features, including AI. Now, we’re sharing all the details with you! If you just shrugged in disappointment, let us be the first to tell you that this feature is anything but. Sure, it may sound limiting, but there is so much you can do inside docs that will save you time, energy, and brain power. What’s not to love about that?

No matter what type of docs you already have inside ClickUp – or what you still need to create – AI offers a ton of great features to enhance your writing.
First, every document has a ‘summarize’ button which will, obviously, summarize what’s inside the doc. So, if you need to pull out a quick summary of whatever you’re sharing internally, externally, or with clients, this can be a great way to do just that without adding even more tasks to your plate.
Another cool feature? You can now highlight any text within a ClickUp Doc and utilize tons of new AI prompts, including:
If you don’t like what AI has to come up with, no problem! You can always add to the text that AI has generated for you, or you can hit ‘Try Again’ or ‘Discard’ if you want to see different text.
We all know the feeling of staring down a blank document, knowing you need to fill it with brand-new thoughts and ideas. But it doesn’t always come that easy to us, right? AI is here to change that!
To get started, all you have to do is prompt your document, then have AI do the rest. If you have ever used ChatGPT, it’s similar to that! Here’s how it works:
We started with simple prompts at first, like ‘Write a social media caption about ClickUp AI.’ You can even ask it to write in a specific tone of voice, like:
As you get more familiar with this feature, make sure your prompts are as specific as possible and contain all the necessary relevant information. Remember: With most AI tools, the better the prompt, the better the results.
Have a process in your mind but need to formalize it on paper? AI can help with that! Yes, seriously.
One of the several AI prompts we discovered in ClickUp is the ability to create a Process SOP – or Standard Operating Procedure. When we prompted it with ‘Inbox management,’ the end result was a robust document that included sections like:
