In case you haven’t heard the news, ClickUp 3.0 is coming in hot. And along with it: Tons of new and exciting features. In ClickUp’s words, 3.0 is ‘productivity, reimagined.’ From what we’ve seen so far, they are living up to it.
That’s why today, we’re going back to the (brand-new) basics of ClickUp: the Task View.
For those who use ClickUp as their everyday project management tool, Task View is likely the most used of every view. It’s how you know your everyday to-do list, stay on track of projects, store details about tasks and projects, and so much more.
Watch the video below to refamiliarize yourself with the much-improved Task View inside ClickUp 3.0, or keep reading below to see a full breakdown!
Here’s a breakdown of what we’re loving inside ClickUp 3.0’s new Task View!
Inside ClickUp 3.0, you can now add a cover image or photo to your tasks! This helps your tasks look super sleek and elevated, which we always love. If you’re asking yourself: ‘Why would I add cover images to tasks?’ we think they can be a great way to differentiate tasks, clients, and projects.
For example, you can add your clients’ logos or branded images to each one of their projects or tasks, so you never mix up your to-dos. It can also be a great way to elevate your clients’ experiences if you ever share your ClickUp tasks with them!
On the left-hand side of your new Task View, you will now see all of your subtasks. So, if you have ever used Google Docs and use the outline or table of contents feature, it’s very similar to that. We feel this is a great way to see your full list of tasks at a high-level without having to click around or scroll down to see everything together.
This may seem like a small change – and it is – but it’s one we are loving right now. With ClickUp 3.0, you can now choose if you want to view tasks in default, full screen, or sidebar!
ClickUp 3.0 is all about productivity reimagined, and they delivered with this slightly upgraded feature. Within your Task View, you can now more easily see the relationship to other assets. Meaning, you can add links to other documents, resources, and ClickUp tasks and quickly access them on the right-hand sidebar. Again, this cuts down on the amount of clicking around and scrolling you have to do within tasks and task lists – it’s all right there for you!
